EXCURSIONS: WHO CAN TAKE PART?

Are the excursions suitable for everybody?

Our excursions are suitable for every age range, anyway we ask you to inform us about any physical problems such as motor disabilities or cardiovascular diseases.

May I take part to the excursion in the event that I have any allergies or food intolerance? How do I have to handle it?

In the event that you have any food problems such as allergies or food intolerance, we ask you to inform us upon reservation. We will inform the restaurant in order to cook a menu which best satisfies your needs.

Can we bring our pet along with us during the excursion?

You are allowed to bring a small pet along with you, you must point it out upon reservation and you will be allowed upon authorisation of the other participants of the excursion.

Do children pay the excursion fare?

Children do pay because they occupy a seat in the vehicle as well as adults do.

How about the child seat?

If a child seat is needed, you will have to ask for it to the organisers. We will provide you with it if it’s available for the day of the chosen activity.

Lower fares, when and who is entitled?

People who book in advance (at least 10 days before the excursion) may get a lower fare, as well as groups of minimum 15 people.

EXCURSIONS: HOW ARE THEY CARRIED OUT?

Which height do we get during the excursion?

The maximum height we will get to on Etna volcano is about 2000 metres a.s.l. except for the excursion Etna 3000.

Which kind of clothing do we have to wear?

The suggested clothing is different according to the season. Always keep in mind we will get up to 2000 metres a.s.l. We suggest, then, to wear different layers of clothes and comfortable trekking shoes that will enable you to deal with the gradual decreasing temperature hiking up in height. In winter there will be a temperature range of about 15 degrees lower compared to the city centre, while in the summer there will be a temperature range of 10 degrees lower compared to the city centre.

How long does the hike last?

Our excursions are not programmed for long hikes (except for Etna Trekking Tour). There are trails divided into stages, so our guide will drive you with a means of transport near the naturalistic place to be visited. You could admire its beauties by walking and then we will get to another stage using the vehicle.

When is “Special Eruption Tour” bookable?

Special Eruption Tour may be booked when Etna is erupting with a constant lava flow. In this case our association arranges the special eruption tour. You will find some up-to-date information on our website or on our Facebook page.
