At first, for get a little bit of energy, we go to have a nice tasting of typical Etna’s food, such a olive oil, bread, dry tomato and more. You’ll drink ( a little!) Etna’s wine as well: Nero D’avola, Nerello Mascalese, Inzolia. At last we will have the dessert wine, such an Almond Wine and Malvasia and several kind of honey will satisfy our taste.

Then we go to another place: a Lava Cave, a tube, a tunnel inside the Volcano. We enter inside it with helmets and lamps for discovered the way the lava flow formed this fantastic gallery.

Then we continue to go toward the Etna passing to several places rich of unique vegetations, lava rocks and ancient lava flows of several ages. We begin to see the highest part our Volcano in front of us and the Ionio sea and Catania City with its bay right under us. Finally we reach the famous Rifugio Sapienza where we may see the Crateri Silvestri, whose shape is similar to the Summit Craters . We can also see the theatre of 2001 and 2002 eruption when the magma almost destroyed everything.

At that moment we will choose the best path to follow, choosing it among the several in the surroundings. So we start a trekking that takes from 45 minutes to 1 hour and half. The panorama is great and unique, mixing black of Lava, green, pink , violet, blue of vegetations. The huge Ginestre of Etna ( Genista Aetnensis ) with their yellow and perfumed flowers will complete the picture. Kilometers above and under us the blue of the sky and sea will amaze you! Half Sicily will be for the pleasure for our eyes and camera. During the path we will see the city lights come on and the sky turn to red, we’ll see the Etna’s Sunset.
